It was a well shot mise-en-scene that was criticised for its lack of action. I found the film to be more interesting because the lack of action gave the sense that the narrative was more important. The fact that there is no action is because the acting over emphasizes the purpose of the story. Its a wonderful art film that needs better recognition for its clever style. I don't quite know what it is about The Social Network, but its social commentary on the creation of the first great 21st century invention was riveting, especially with the style of the script, which you did give credit to. My only issue was with True Grit. As a remake, I made sure that I watched both versions. I enjoyed the cinematography but I feel it is only getting recognition because its a Western film thats released within a none western Hollywood.

feel free to check out my blog on Film Theory and criticism. http://filmsandthingsofthekind.blogspot.com/Michael Sandonatohttp://filmsandthingsofthekind.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6612392.post-49401942666897862012011-01-19T00:59:57.177-05:002011-01-19T00:59:57.177-05:00i love this list! Also, The Social Network is a revolution in my eyes. Upon first seeing it, i was amazed and i agree with everything you said.
